Do I need to make an account to use the site?
While making an account can help provide access to different services including interacting with partnering businesses and organizations or with other site users, it is not a requirement.
Why use 'Passage' over other job sites?
We're on a mission to change the job-seeking and career-exploration experience for all people, especially our youth, given the mostly faceless model we are currently using across many different industries. We believe people would be more willing to explore outside their initial interests or "dreams" if these options were presented better. That's what we're planning to do!
How can organizations get involved with the network?
We are looking to work alongside organizations committed to our mission of providing work-based opportunities and training for people, especially youth and young adults, towards the discovery of career pathways that can provide for a sustainable economic future. Life's getting more difficult with each passing month for many people, and we want to partner with organizations who want to make things better - especially in the world of jobs.
What happens to data from users and organizations on the site?
We take data security and privacy seriously on our site. We do NOT sell any data uploaded to the site. As a free service for the public, we strive to create a model of access aligned with our mission to aid people from all walks of life to find meaningful work. Users and organizations are free to make edits to their profiles and also request changes as necessary or desired.
How is 'Passage' Funded?
The creation of our organization was through an education grant from the Andre Agassi Foundation for Education and Engelstad Foundation through an initiative called the 'Big Idea Challenge.' The goal was to find and promote a concept that could change the face of education in the State of Nevada. 'Passage' was the result of this funding, and we are currently on the path to securing our nonprofit status. Stay tuned for more updates and how to support our cause!
